INTRODUCING FUTURE FORTE
Following four glorious years of Future Female where we welcomed over 1,500 of you, we are so excited to bring you with us into the next chapter of this initiative that is even more inclusive and holistic - introducing Future Forte.
Future Forte is an extension and reinvention of Future Female that supports the growth and empowerment of multicultural women and international students of diverse identities.
In the last few years, we got to connect with so many women from diverse backgrounds, disciplines and identities. We realized that the space that we created can be very meaningful for our audience to find belonging, connection and support. Importantly to us, this includes people from the LGBTQI+ community and people of diverse and non-binary genders.
Aligning with our hope to create a welcoming space for all who identify with us, we decided to update our name and brand to Future Forte.
“Forte” has a dual meaning that is interlinked - Firstly, it stands for strength. We want FF to be a reminder that diversity is indeed our strength. Secondly, it stands for loud in Latin. In a world that tends to overlook us, we want to be purposefully louder.
It is also time for us to turn a new chapter as we broaden our offerings and deliver more programs for our community. All of these will be revealed in the next few weeks through a combination of newsletters, social media posts, website relaunch and an in person launch party in Melbourne.
Our logo was designed by Aiden Lim, Communications Manager at Future Forte and a Fashion Design student at RMIT. “While designing this logo, I aim for it to hold great meaning and symbolize the collective vision of Future Forte's mission. I hope that the logo will serve as a reminder to everyone of their purpose and inspire unity towards our shared goal. It should represent a guiding light and a source of inspiration for those who seek a better future.”
Mimosa flowers are a meaningful symbol of International Women’s Day, gifted to women in many countries as a sign of
respect for their contributions to society. It represents the resilience and courage of women who often face discrimination and inequality, and is considered a symbol of sensitivity, femininity, and strength. The Mimosa’s delicate nature reflects the emotional strength and compassion of women.
The Forte Dove is a magnificent creation inspired by the work of Picasso’s dove of peace. It is a symbol of peace and harmony, a beautiful representation of the wonderful world that we all yearn for. While the traditional peace dove is depicted as a white dove carrying an olive branch, the Forte Dove captures the essence of our collective fight for peace. Its iconic color palette and meaningful flower at its beak serve as a reminder of our deepest desires, while the dove itself is a beacon of hope that inspires us to strive for a better future.
